18+ Watermark Technology

Content originating through RMT that is marked "18+ Certified" represents the only graphic content published anywhere in the world in print or electronic form embedded with a "digital barcode" that can be "scanned" in real-time to verify the legal age of the participants depicted. The digital barcode is tamper-proof, digitally signed and embeds certain encrypted model-identification information within the file itself, using public-key/private-key encryption and digital signature technologies.
Our 18+ watermark technology provides our partners with an exceptionally strong legal framework, as well as the peace of mind that results from engaging in responsible business practices. Each image and video posted under this proprietary watermark is compliant with federal law regarding child pornography and exploitation.
As a public service, RMT provides free tools and technology to parties interested in the real-time verification of the legal status of adult-themed digital materials. For example, major internet service providers, determined to once-and-for-all cleanse the adult-accessible portions of their networks from the scourge of illegal child pornography, use our digital "barcode scanner" to verify that files uploaded or transmitted across their networks depict subjects verified to be age 18 or older. (The barcode scanner, when "passed" over a specific computer file, returns a simple "yes" or "no," indicating whether the file depicts individuals aged 18+ or not.) Law enforcement agencies, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 2257, or with other proper authorization, can use the barcode information to conclusively identify the actual depicted subjects, through photo identifications, head shots, and other documentation maintained by RMT and its affiliated services.
